One of the best I’ve read of the many accounts from ex-pro-cyclists. I knew it would be hard this morning. I went back there on Monday to Charing Cross Road. He became a professional journalist after leaving the peleton and his writing style makes it easy to see why. Maybe were taking two steps forwards and one back but it’s going to be a long process. A Rough Ride would highlight the problem and make it better for all involved. Rojgh eye-opening expose and a heartbreaking lament, it is a book that anyone interested in any sport should read.

He knew it wouldn’t come easy, but he was prepared to put in the graft: Doping at the Tour de France. There are plenty of other books far more appropriate for that kind of Schadenfreude. Even though my knowledge of pro cycling is not what I would call rife, I enjoyed this book immensely for its candour and for the revelations about a life lived on two wheels. I love this book!!
The deceit rire the corruption are astonishing. The Bible never said it was of great monetary worth. They’re the ones that go back to the team car to get water,food, e I haven’t read this book in a while, but was reminded of it with the recent positive test in the Tour de France. However, I think it serves its purpose and is perfect for what it is.
I’d smooth the edges and dry the sweat and make it literary and profound but whose book would it be then?
I ask if people are prepared to sit by and watch it die or do you try and do something about it and help people. Slow in parts but the primary story survives in tact and is very compelling. Would you like to tell us about a lower price?
